The students accounts are Google so they can use Google Docs for the work and they have the option to download it as either a PDF or Word document. This will allow the instructor to add their comments and annotate directly on the submissions.
The students also have access to office 365. Everything can be done in the cloud and saved locally to their computer and uploaded regardless of operating system.
